Chelsey and Joshua Mullins | Chapel at Chestnut Square in McKinney, Texas

The Chapel at Chestnut Square

At the start of the 18th hour on August 10th, Chelsey and Joshua leapt into the next chapter of their lives in a beautiful vintage ceremony in the Chapel at Chestnut Square in McKinney, Texas. Skys the Limit Production was there to record and frame each precious moment.

Nearly 13 years ago love found a resting place between these two in perhaps, one of the unlikeliest places, a brand-new restaurant in Rockwall on the harbor. Neither of them could have predicted that their budding friendship would eventually lead them down the aisle.

With Joshua’s two daughters and Chelsey’s two sons, the two joined forming a modern-day Brady Bunch, just as sweet as fiction. The night before they were to officially adopt the title of homeowners, Joshua surprised Chelsey with a question of forever on his lips on the steps of that house, ensuring that this new page had a glorious start.

Chapel at Chestnut Square

The Chapel at Chestnut Square offered itself as an excellent representation of this lovely couple. It provided all the elements of a classic wedding ceremony with the sprinklings of new traditions specific to their new union.

Joshua couldn’t hold his tears at bay as the large dark wood doors of the chapel opened to reveal his bride, wearing an elegant creamy white, sleeveless sequined gown, as she took her first steps toward their forever. He stood, with an anxious calm in a white- collar shirt with his sleeves rolled up, covered in a simple four button dark grey vest and pants. With one hand resting over the other, his leg shook as he prepared to take her hand into his own. There was not a dry eye in sight as friends and family alike, witnessed their commitment take shape in front of their very eyes.

Once their “I Do’s were exchanged the newlyweds, along with their guests, ventured out of the chapel and into the reception area. Smiles were radiating light from all around with tears of joy to match. Guests took their time to write notes, pose for pictures, and keepsakes, to wish the couple well until daylight started to retreat.

With the certificate signed, the bouquet tossed, the toasts concluded, the couple took to the stone floor of the wooden gazebo, urging others to join as they fervently danced the night away.

Taylor and Seth | The Springs in Weatherford, TX

The Westwood Hall offered its warmth to the guests of Seth and Taylor, as they committed themselves to one another on August 17th at 2:00 in the afternoon. This beautiful moment in time left an indelible impression on 454 Thompson Rd. Skys the Limit Production was there to capture it all.

The SPRINGS Event Venue in Weatherford, Texas

No one would dispute the idea that social media has a lot of offer. If one should look, nearly anything desired can be found. This sentiment was made true for Seth and Taylor. Though they were not looking, they connected in the cyber streets of Instagram. After realizing that they shared a church, decided to go on a date and as the saying goes, the rest is history.

Over time their fondness for one another grew immensely. During spring break, the week apart, was enough for Seth to realize the full measure of his love for Taylor. At the close of the week, Seth surprised Taylor with a bouquet of flowers on his front lawn, insisting that they pose for pictures. As he took a knee to “tie his shoes”, he raised his eyes, brimming with his love for her and confessed that he didn’t want to spend another minute without her. There in his front yard, while his brother recorded the scene, Seth asked Taylor to be his wife.

Weddings have their share of ripples in the lake of human plans but there seemed to be a peculiar joy emanating from the wedding party as they eagerly posed for photographs and commanded the scene in view of the camera.

The sky gifted the ceremony with a beautiful blue hue and just enough to sun to warm the air. Guests seated in the crisp white lawn chairs, that lined either side of the concrete runway littered with flower petals, all turned their eyes to stare in awe as Taylor gingerly made her way to the alter in a classically beautiful gown. Poised between two stone pillars, underneath a dark wooden arch dressed in greenery and sunflowers, Seth stood clothed in a simple, yet, elegant, black tux with a white-collar shirt, beckoning his bride.

As the Seth and Taylor bowed their heads in prayer, the stillness of their decision settled into the hearts of all attendees. Surrounded by the awesome beauty of God’s artistry, the richness of the earth around them, it was clear that this union was one he fashioned himself.

The wedding party vacated the invisible boundaries of the afternoon sun and reconnected in a massive ballroom. Drawn with various earth-tones, the sunflower drew eyes everywhere she rested. The night drifted away as the clatter of feet traced fresh memories into the polished wood of the dance floor. There were smiles all around. Perhaps Seth echoed the sentiment of the evening best when, after playfully painting Taylor’s face with a bit of cake, he offered in a gleeful shout, “I love you!”

Skys the Limit Production wishes the lovely duo the very best that life has to offer. Thank you for allowing us to be there to celebrate your moment.

Jamie and Chris Allen | Donna Bella Chapel in McKinney, TX

A happily ever after wedding with a touch of New Orleans

When Jamie first got in touch with me about their fairy tale dream wedding coming true in McKinney, I was so excited – they were planning a jumping the broom tradition, a live band from Louisiana and a beautiful candlelit reception! Jamie and Chris seemed like the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to video their wedding!

Getting Ready

I was surprised by a bottle of wine from the bride herself when I arrived to capture her and her bridesmaids. They were getting ready in the Sanctuary music and events building. Along with Jamie’s gorgeous dress, she wore the cutest cheetah heels and Chris wore a dark suit with a classic tie. The two exchanged gifts and letters to each other and allowed me to record the special moment separately on camera.

Ceremony

The wedding took place at the Bella Donna Chapel, and it was a romantic ceremony. The bride and groom went with traditional, and waited to see each other down the aisle. The couple combined the small flames from their family’s candles into one. They each wrote their own touching vows.

When the time came to kiss the bride, the bride helped herself on kissing the groom before the pastor could finish his sentence; it was hilarious, but so sweet at the same time! After the ceremony, they jumped the broom and the crowd applauded. Everyone joined outside as the newlyweds rang the church’s bells announcing their news to the world!

Reception

The wedding reception took place at the Sanctuary music and events hall, which they’d decorated with candlelight and photos. It was a charming sight.

During the reception they had a live band come out all the way from Louisiana, which you could tell everyone loved by the wave of white handkerchiefs all over the place. After the meal there were a few speeches as well as a few tears! The DJ then kicked off the party and everyone danced in the center of the venue with the newly weds.

The couple

Jamie and Chris met through Instagram. Chris proposed to Jamie on New Years Eve in Downtown Dallas in front of the Reunion Tower-watching the Fireworks. Jamie was trying to record the fireworks when they were counting down to the new year; when the number landed on one, Jamie turned around and saw Chris was on one knee.

Here’s the couple’s magical wedding!

Madison and Ruben Alaniz | The Laurels in Beaumont, Texas

Madison and Ruben got married at an elegant plantation style venue on March 23, 2019 in Beaumont, Texas. The couple went with a stunningly dark and moody floral and decor for their wedding day. In the beginning, the two lovebirds actually went to the same high school, but when Ruben came home from the navy, fate brought them together again.

Madison got ready upstairs in the venue with friends and family, and there was such an exciting vibe. She wore a smooth fitted dress, and looked so incredible. Ruben and his boys got ready downstairs underneath where the pretty women were getting ready. He wore everything black; shirt, jacket, bow-tie and shoes.

The ceremony took place on the other end of the Laurels’ venue. The ceremony area was filled with the most important people in the couple’s lives. Pair by pair the bridesmaids and groomsmen made their way down the aisle. The couple’s daughters had the honor of being the flower girls. When it was the bride’s turn, everyone stood when they saw her. The groom smiled while tears sneaked down his cheeks. The lovebirds wrote their own vows and promised each other forever. It was a special moment when Madison’s son had the honor of holding Ruben’s ring. It was a moving ceremony.

After the first kiss, the newly weds made their way outside and were greeted seconds later by their wedding party. Everyone took photos in front of the Laurel’s house. The couple then mingled with their guests, which was the perfect time for us to get candid video clips of everyone. We got perfect video of guests taking shots, dancing and grabbing some rears underneath the hanging lights outside! The weather was calm and it was a beautiful night.

For the reception, the best man and maid of honor made a toast to Mr. & Mrs. Alaniz. Madison was surprised by a special strip tease from Ruben – which made the crowd blush and holler! Later as the music began to get louder and faster, the bride pulled in friends from all around to join her in the middle of the dance floor. Guests danced and sang out loud. As more people met in the middle, Ruben accompanied his new wife under the colored lights.

The night ended with all of Madison and Ruben’s loved ones lined up outside the venue. They each held a sparkler and cheered as the newly weds made their way down their own aisle of sparklers. Before they made it to their vehicle, Madison was swept off her feet by her new husband. The couple gave each other a kiss for the pictures and drove off into the night.

I absolutely loved the couple’s unforgettable red, blush and black theme. The mood and beauty was on point! If your getting married in Beaumont and need a wedding videographer get in touch! Here’s their wedding day highlight.

Katie and Bryston Schafer | The SPRINGS Event Venue in Terrell, Texas

Katie and Bryston were wed March 9, 2019 at the SPRINGS Poetry Hall in Rockwall, Texas. They had their ceremony outside of the venue, and the sun was bright and beautiful that day. Skys the Limit Production had the honor of capturing this special occasion through video.

The couple met at Texas State University in a study room. On the day Bryston proposed, he took Katie to her favorite spot on the river in San Marcos with their new puppy. She was skipping rocks when she saw that he got down on one knee.

On their wedding day, Katie wore a white strapless dress with a modest length train paired with a veil that laid past her back and she held a beautiful arrangement of white and blue flowers. Bryston wore a simple white shirt underneath his light grey suit with a classy blue floral bow-tie and brown dress shoes.

Before the ceremony began, Katie decided to have special moments with those closest to her. Her mother helped her dress while she had her bridesmaids wait to see her when she was fully ready to be married. After greeting with her girls (and touching up makeup), she met with her father who couldn’t stop telling his little girl how beautiful she was. Lastly, Katie shared a first touch with her groom to be.

Their ceremony was held under a giant wooden arbor; the decor was natural and simple, but also elegant. Bryston was as nervous as he could be, but kept his cool in front of family and friends. One by one each couple from the wedding party made their way down the aisle smiling from ear to ear. When Bryston turned to see his bride, for the first time on their wedding day, you could see on his face that this was one of, if not the best decision he’s ever made.

They exchanged their own written vows to one another and gave each other a special ring to wear for the rest of their days together. Guests cheered and applauded the couple after they shared their first kiss.

The cheers continued when the newlyweds made their grand entrance down the wooden staircase inside the elegant stoned hall. The couple immediately had their first dance underneath the chandelier followed by the traditional dances with their parents. Katie’s cake was a delicate and pretty bridal cake and Bryston’s was a mouthwatering stack of chocolate cookies. The DJ kept everyone young and mature on their feet all night long to songs both new and classic. When the night came to an end, the couple saved the last dance for each other.

After a tender moment alone, the love birds met their friends and family outside. Guests tossed flower petals in the air while the couple rushed through and made their way to the green vintage truck with a just married sign attached.
