Will you be my Bridesmaid?

There are so many ways to ask the closest women (or men these days!) to be in your wedding party. I have seen so many creative ways of doing this. If you’re like me though and you want to send something that’s creative, personal, but also (let’s be honest) easy, Greetabl has your back.

I’m so excited to be telling you about Greetabl! I am all for it. I literally use it for everything and to be honest, I feel like not enough people know about it. For the record, I picked “will you be my bridesmaid” for the title because I obviously specialize in weddings. This gifting option though can be used by ANYONE not just someone getting married.

Why Greetbl?

I remember a few years ago looking for a gift to send my sister. There was the option to send her a subscription box from various sites, but I kind of just wanted a one time thing? The process in itself was a little confusing where I had to include my sister in signing up which gave the surprise away. In my opinion, I didn’t like it. I also looked into sending gifts from Amazon, but I still didn’t feel that it was personable enough? To me, sending chocolates and flowers were sort of expensive?

Then one day I scrolled through Instagram and found a Greetabl ad. The advertisement was adorable, so I checked it out. I was instantly hooked with the style of the site. It was simple to navigate. I got to personally choose everything from the packaging, items and greeting. In short, Greetabl offered a convenient, personable and affordable way of greeting someone I care about.

How it works.

When arriving to the site, you begin on finding the right design for your box. Next what I normally do is pick out an appropriate gift for the occasion; from candles to gummies to jewelry, there’s lots to choose from! After going through and finding the perfect gift, you have the option of also leaving a gift card or “bonus” gift. The bonus gift is usually something small like glitter, tea, or a face mask. The site will then take you to another page where you can really add your personal touch by adding photos and a message inside.

The best part about the message part is if you have a writer’s block, they have little prompts to work with. Finally when you are ready to send, you can either schedule a time for delivery or send as soon as possible. Could not be any easier.

My go-to

I use Greetabl on a regular basis. It’s honestly fun to receive a package you weren’t expecting in the mail. It’s a great way of telling my fellow wedding vendors and my assistants ‘thank you’. Even outside of Skys the Limit Production, my family and friends enjoy the messages and images I send for their birthdays and holidays.

So whether you need to propose to your gals or let someone know how much they mean to you, give Greetabl a try. I think you’ll like it!

Joshua + Alyssa | Rustic Grace Estate Van Alstyne, TX

Joshua and Alyssa got married at Rustic Grace Estate, which is a charming white chapel in Van Alstyne, TX with a bright red barn. It was such a fun wedding and the sun shone all day long! Skys the Limit Production had the honor of capturing their union with both video and photography.

The couple

Joshua wore navy suit with a goldish tie. Alyssa wore a long lacy dress that created a train. Every piece of jewelry had a meaning behind the women in Alyssa’s family; besides the rings her groom provided for her of course! They both looked perfect.

Before the ceremony, Joshua’s mother dressed them both in a traditional hanbok. We took photos inside the chapel as well as adding a little bit of their humorous personality. There’s a swing beside the chapel where Alyssa pushed her gleefully groom on the swing.

Getting hitched

The ceremony was an intimate affair in a stunning chapel. During the ceremony They prayed and took communion. It was really beautiful.

They decorated the area with simple floral, which I loved. The reception was in the barn at Rustic Grace Estate – there were so many great opportunities for portraits. Weddings at Rustic Grace Estate are amazing, because the grounds are brilliant.

The party

The couple had a variety of pies in the afternoon, and a DJ playing music in the evening. It was such a sweet moment to witness the parents’ dance. After the mother son dance as well as the daddy daughter dance, the couple had their other parent join them on the dance floor. All three couples danced together. For dinner they had proper wedding grub, and the first dance gave the couple a chance to show off their dance moves. They finished off the evening with a parade of bubble exit.

Why Rustic Grace Estate is a great place to get married

Rustic Grace Estate is perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors, and is one of the loveliest places to get married in Van Alstyne, TX. The venue offers a unique atmosphere – and there is a perfect field at sunset that’s perfect for photos.

The bridal suite is located on top of the groom’s suite. Though my couple did not do this, this creates a perfect opportunity to do a “first touch” with the couple at the staircase; bride being at the top and groom being at the bottom.

“Sarah was incredible!!! My husband and I loved having her and her team shooting our wedding. We got married on Thursday and already have wedding teaser photos by Monday! I am in awe at the beauty she was able to capture and cannot wait to see everything else! She was able to move dates for me due to COVID and took every request and met it!”- Alyssa

THE VOWS

The ceremony was an intimate service inside a grand white hall filled with so much light from the windows. During the ceremony the couple had their children join them in for prayer. It was a beautiful way of involving everyone in the ceremony.

They decorated the area with their unity cross and a little touch of plants in vases down the aisle, which I loved. The reception was in the main hall at The SPRINGS Event Venue. I appreciated all the light the venue let in; it was gorgeous for portraits and candids. Weddings at The SPRINGS Event Venue are amazing, because video and photo ops are endless.

This venue is really peaceful and secluded, and one of the loveliest places to get married in Wallisville. The place offers an amazing atmosphere for a wedding – and there is a stunning arbor that’s perfect for photos.

AFTER THE CEREMONY

The couple had an ice cream cart in the afternoon, and cake and champagne in the evening. The party was relaxed and filled with happy children playing throughout the large room. For dinner, they had Texas BBQ with the traditional sides, and the first dance was to Ed Sheeran. They finished off the evening with some couple’s portraits outside the venue.

THE COUPLE

Tori wore a floor-length gown and Jake wore a charcoal suit and tie; they looked really incredible. The flowers from Tori’s bouquet and Jake’s boutonniere added just the right amount of color to make their outfits complete.

These two getting hitched on a Monday, made a great start to my week.

Dear Newly Weds

I know it’s cliché, but before we welcome the beginning of a new decade, I want to write a much needed letter for all my past couples. As I organized your gallery and listened to your vows on video, I’ve gathered my thoughts into one document.

Choosing when to press the camera button is a huge responsibility. At the end of the day, flowers wilt, dance lights are turned off and cake is eaten, but your images and videos will live on. You and your spouse trusted Skys the Limit Production with this responsibility and I could not be more grateful. There are literally thousands of videographers and photographers, and you chose me and my team.

You each became a client, then soon became a friend. Throughout just this year, I’ve witnessed you guys begin new adventures like going on trips or starting a new job, celebrating moments with the in-laws, and even adding to your own family; thanks Instagram and Facebook! I cannot wait for what 2020 brings!

My prayer is that every frame I gave to you serves as a reminder for you and your spouse; a reminder of happiness, commitment and love for one another. I pray you’re taken back to that very day and you still say “I do” for the years to come.
