Victoria and Samuel Blaze | Book Nook Inn Bed and Breakfast in Lumberton, TX

On May 25th Victoria and Samuel exchanged their promise of love to one another at the Book Nook Inn in Lumberton, Texas. I was thrilled when they chose Skys the Limit Production to photograph their wedding day.

Wedding ceremony at the Book Nook Inn Bed and Breakfast in Lumberton, TX

Before we get into the classy wine-colored wedding, let’s rewind just for a moment to the day Sam proposed. He had the whole night planned; both his and Victoria’s family were at one of their favorite steakhouses, and of course the families knew why they were there. After everyone sat down for dinner in the “party room” together, Sam told a little white lie to Victoria and said he had to go “grab his camera” out of the car. In that time, Rachel, the maid of honor was hiding out in the car with one of Sam’s friends. He brought the pair with him inside the restaurant with the ring safely in his pocket. Sam prepared some music and a Skype call, so Victoria’s other maid of honor could be there for the moment as well. After doing all of this planning and even writing a whole note of everything he wanted to say, he became nervous with the amount of people in the room. He started speaking a few things from his heart then popped the famous question. In Sam’s own words he said “She said YES right away, because she has been waiting for a while for this to happen lol”.

Taking photos of everyone getting ready for the big day was a breeze since the venue had the bride and groom’s room on top of one another. We even took the time to snap a photo of the couple together while still holding onto the tradition of the groom waiting to see his bride! Sam wore a dark suit with a wine colored tie and white shirt. Victoria’s dress had laced see-through sleeves and her modest train brushed the ground while she walked.

Before the ceremony, my team, the bridesmaids, and Victoria cried out in laughter while trying to position Victoria in a sexy head-turning pose for “Sam’s” photos. All jokes aside, the images turned out pretty good!

The ceremony was held outside of the Book Nook Inn next to the venue’s pond. Everything was beautiful; the bridesmaids wore wine colored dresses while the groomsmen wore matching tie and vests, and the unity candles were set up on the small dock on the water. During lighting of the candle, Victoria surprised Sam with a special pocket watch. After exchanging rings and vows, let’s just say the smitten couple gave me more than enough time to photograph their first kiss.

Everyone gathered inside for the reception and cheered as the wedding party danced through the building. The couple showed off their love of the DC Universe by adding a golden Wonder Woman and Superman symbol hidden on the back of the bridal cake.

The sweetest speeches were given; even I couldn’t help but get a little choked up when one of the maid of honors mentioned passing her title as the “best” friend of the bride to the groom. My favorite part of the reception was the big group photo of all the guests; it’s always such a unique wedding photo because you can reflect and be reminded who all attended.

The night ended with a precious private dance for the couple and romantic flying paper lanterns into the sky. If you are looking for a photographer yourself, get in touch!

The last few months have been such a rush and so busy, but right now I would like to take the time to share and reflect on some of the places my work has been featured this year. Skys the Limit Production is involved with the Iman Project by providing videos of the wonderful workshops they have been setting up in Dallas, Texas. Bree Clarke created these workshops and designed them as a way to bring – as she would say – “Family, Friends & Community together one Farmhouse Table, Design & Workshop at a time.” During March – also known as Women’s History Month – the CW33 featured Bree in an interview talking about her growth as an entrepreneur in Dallas. I was honored to have Skys the Limit Production’s video displayed during the CW interview and create a video that properly represented the hard work Bree has done.

If you would like to know more about Bree’s project and view Skys the Limit Production’s, video visit the CW33 site here.

In addition to having big news on Skys the Limit Production’s videography side, there was also some news for photography, as well! Skys the Limit was also featured twice in VoyageDallas. If you haven’t checked out VoyageDallas before, you definitely need to if you live in the area or taking a visit to the Big D! This site gives you a guide of everything big and small happening in Dallas and last month one of the Editorial Staff contacted me. They asked questions about me and Skys the Limit Production and published the interview soon after. Seeing the article online was very exciting and encouraging, and I definitely owe it to all my past and new clients, so thank you! You can find that article here. The second time getting featured on the magazine was because of a photo I took on April 21, 2018 of one of my brides. I posted to Instagram and the post got featured in an article called “An Artistic Voyage: exploring local creative and artistic works”. If you would love to see the post you can find it here.

This year has already been amazing, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of this year has in store for Skys the Limit Production.
